Yesterday was Groundhog Day. The cute furry little rodent hopped out of his hole, looked at his shadow, and declared more winter yet to come! He then hopped back into […]
Sometimes we overgeneralize and jump to conclusions. This is a bad practice.
This is an opportunity for us to practice the great commission of Jesus. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
People have long sought to justify their desires to pursue a life of pleasure and invented many rationalizations along the way. One of these rationalizations is the doctrine of salvation by faith only. It is one of the greatest lies repeated today.
It is time to look forward and go forward! This new year has some great opportunities in store for us to work and serve.
Do we obey perfectly? No, but Jesus forgives those who are trying to be faithful to Him, and He knows who is and who isn’t (2 Timothy 2:19). I am so thankful for Jesus.
if we read the context of these passages, we will see that the verses are talking about the coming of the Messiah and His work to establish His church.
Second Timothy 4:3-4 states “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap […]
Unfortunately, some adults behave the same way that children do. When the church is trying to do a good work, and something happens that they don’t like, instead of constructively seeking to make things better, they take their proverbial ball and go home.
He wasn’t genuinely thankful to others when they did something helpful to him, he was just saying the words because they were useful to him in getting along in society.
Why do we do this? Because this is the mind of Christ. He was the only one who practiced perfect humility. Lifting Him up means bringing us low.
“I will add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scourges!”
In Luke 14:33 he said, “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” What does it take to be a disciple of Jesus?
Christians are followers of the Anointed One, Jesus, and the word “Christ” is a title, not Jesus’ last name. What an honor it is, then, to share the title “Christ” with Jesus as “Christians.” This was Peter’s point.
Have you ever heard someone say this before? It is a very hurtful thing to say and indicates deep resentment and anger.
[Marvin Weir] will be speaking on the following topics: “The Cross, The Church – God’s Eternal Purpose” (Eph. 3:10-11); “Worship And Observance Made Possible By The Cross” (John 4:24); “New Covenant A Reality Because Of The Cross” (Eph. 2:131-18); “One Cross – One Church” (Matt. 16:13-18); “Keys Of The Kingdom And Salvation Possible Only By The Cross” (Matt. 16:19); “Attend The Church Of Your Choice Denied By The Cross” (Eph. 1:22-23; 4:4).
It is of the upmost importance that we support our own gospel meeting. If we don’t support it, then who will?
