More About Us

At the New Boston Church of Christ we seek to follow Jesus and His teachings.  We recognize that we are to be living sacrifices offering daily service and devotion to God (Romans 12:1-2).  We believe in doing all things to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31), and honoring the authority of Christ every day (Matthew 28:18).  We meet upon Sundays and Wednesday evenings.  We study the Bible together in a class setting.  We have classes for all ages from infants to adults.  When we meet upon the first day of the week (Acts 20:7), we observe the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), pray (1 Timothy 2:8), study God’s word, give as we have been prospered (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), sing praises to God using our hearts alone as our instruments (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). We also meet for many other occasions to celebrate the milestones of life and rejoice in our faith and Savior. What to Expect at New Boston Church of Christ

When you visit New Boston Church of Christ, you will find a simple, Bible-centered worship service. We want to worship God “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24), following the pattern of the New Testament church.

On the first day of the week we gather to sing, pray, study the Bible, give, and take the Lord’s Supper, just as the early Christians did (Acts 20:7). Our singing is congregational and without instruments, so everyone can make melody in their hearts to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word and our only guide in matters of faith and practice. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for our sins and rose again, and that every person can be saved by hearing the gospel, believing, repenting, confessing Christ, and being baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38).

Our times are Sunday Bible class at 9:30 AM, worship at 10:25 AM, Sunday evening at 5:00 PM, and Wednesday Bible study at 7:00 PM. We meet at 610 McCoy Blvd in New Boston, Texas. You are welcome to contact us with any questions, or browse the sermon outlines to read or hear what we teach.
