The Last Week of Christ

The last week of ChristJoin us on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM for a study of the last week of Christ conducted by Kevin Cauley.

Studying the Last Week of Christ

The Gospels give more space to the last week of Christ than to any other part of His life. From His triumphal entry into Jerusalem to His betrayal, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection, every day of that week matters.

As He entered Jerusalem, the crowds cried out, “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Hosanna in the highest!” (Matthew 21:9).

Each lesson in this series has an audio recording and a sermon outline, so you can listen, follow along, and study the passages for yourself. These lessons work well for personal study, family devotionals, or a Bible class. For a related lesson, see Why Did Jesus Die on the Cross?.

In these lessons we follow Jesus day by day: His cleansing of the temple, His teaching in the temple courts, His warnings about the destruction of Jerusalem, the Passover meal with His disciples, His prayer in Gethsemane, His arrest and trials, His death on the cross, and His resurrection on the first day of the week. Seeing these events together helps us understand why Jesus came and how much He loves us.

Using these recordings: Listen in order to follow the flow of the study, or pick the lesson that speaks to a need in your life right now. Keep your Bible open and look up each passage. These lessons also make good material for a home Bible study or a class, and they are an easy way to share the gospel with a friend who cannot come in person.

We invite you to visit us at 610 N. McCoy Blvd in New Boston, Texas. Our times are Sunday Bible class at 9:30 AM, worship at 10:25 AM, Sunday evening at 5:00 PM, and Wednesday Bible study at 7:00 PM.
