Sermons on the Beatitudes
The Beatitudes are found in Matthew 5:3-10. These succinct statements from Jesus summarize what it means to be a citizen of God’s kingdom. The Beatitudes begin Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5-7. Many of the Beatitudes are taken from Old Testament references. By studying these wonderful statements we can learn much about how we need to live our life in a way that shows love toward God and our neighbor.
