Blessings for the Bride

Who would go to a wedding and start helping themselves to the gifts that were given to the bride? No one! So also, Christ has given specific gifts to His bride, the church, and these are for her alone. In 2022, Kevin Cauley preached a series of lessons emphasizing the blessings that the church and only the church has. Ephesians 1:3 makes this same point, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” The book of Ephesians continues to elaborate on these blessings for the bride, the church of Christ. In this series of lessons, Kevin takes us through key areas of the book of Ephesians and points out how these blessings are given from Christ to His church. Each lesson emphasizes that if one wants to obtain these blessings, he must be a member of the church that Jesus built and for which Jesus died.

The Blessings for the Bride of Christ

The Bible calls the church the bride of Christ, and the blessings for the bride are gifts He gives to her alone. In this series, Kevin Cauley looks at those blessings one at a time, including salvation, peace, unity, God’s moral compass, and the whole armor of God.

Paul wrote, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her” (Ephesians 5:25).
