Jesus is our true brother because He completely understands what we go through in this life.
The Bible speaks of complaints that are unwarranted, but also of complaints that are warranted or righteous. We will look at these two areas and then examine some of the results of both warranted and unwarranted complaints. Each should understand the difference between righteous and unrighteous complaints and their results. This lesson is designed to help us understand how to handle complaints and the proper role of repentance in complaints.
To add agape love to our lives we must 1) Know and Believe Jesus, 2) Understand the Proper Place of Self, 3) See Others as God Sees Them. The listener should be able to understand how all the Christian Graces work together to promote agape love through Christ Jesus. This lesson is designed to show how the Christian Graces culminate in love and relate to Jesus and His life.
This means that the saints that reign with Christ for 1000 years are people who have been come into the likeness of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ; these are the saved. It is the saved that reign with Christ for 1000 years. Consider what Peter says in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Jesus did associate with these people in order to teach and preach the gospel
So usually when we read about the kingdom in the New Testament, it has reference to the church and vice versa. However, there are a couple of passages where the term kingdom doesn’t refer to the church, but to heaven.
To avoid building an empire of sinful desire we must 1) Know Our Own Desires, 2) Distinguish Between Legitimate and Illegitimate Desires, 3) Recognize Our Ultimate True Desire. The hearer should be able to impede sinful desires and facilitate desires for Jesus. In this sermon, I want to impart some spiritual tools whereby the hearer will be able to recognize his/her desires.
The spiritual narcissist seeks validation for the way he has already chosen. But there is a way that seems right to a man whose end is death (Proverbs 14:12).
Jesus is King of my life (1 Timothy 6:13-16) because 1) He Is My God, 2) He Is My Savior, 3) He Is My All. Each person should be able to state why Jesus is their King.
Why is communion important? It is a 1) Declaration of Faith, 2) Demonstration of Fellowship, 3) Deliberation of Forgiveness. The listener should understand the importance of communion in relationship to Christ, others, and himself.
Fear comes from 1) Lack of Knowledge, 2) Lack of Love, and 3) Lack of Faith. That we may be able to overcome our fears and live in love, peace, and fellowship with one another.
In this lesson, we will examine David’s practice of grace to Saul’s house. David understood that: 1) Grace was a Desire, 2) Grace was Proactive, 3) Grace Restores, 4) Grace Gives. Each person should learn what it means to be gracious to others and resolve to practice more grace in our lives.
In this lesson we will look at the Asian church of Thyatira. We will note that Jesus knows: 1) The state of the church, 2) Those who are unfaithful, 3) Those who are faithful. Each should be able to discuss the situation in the church at Thyatira. The aim of this lesson is that each would be more familiar with the lessons from this church.
In this lesson we will study the topic of envy through the story of Israel’s desiring a king and Saul’s envy of David. Each person should understand how envy progresses: It begins with comparisons, distorts reality, and destroys its victims. I hope to impress upon each listener the truly diabolical nature of envy.
Are the wicked annihilated? No. "Destroy" in Matthew 10:28 does not mean cease to exist. For God to be just, hell must be unending conscious torment. Repent today.
