    The Walking Dead

    The walking dead are all around us, living in darkness, seeking after fleshly things. Mindlessly, they wander, stumbling and groping, lost, and headed to hell. Before being quickened (made alive; Eph. 2:1), we were all among the dead who walked according to the world (Eph. 2:2-7).

  • Did Christ Go to Hell?

    The scriptures teach plainly that Christ went to paradise after His death. In Luke 23:43 we read these words: "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." Jesus clearly told the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in paradise. One thing we know from the scriptures to be true is that paradise is not hell, and neither is hell paradise.

  • What is the Gospel?

    What is the gospel? It is 1) the Good News, 2) the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus, 3) the Power of God to Salvation. Each hearer will be able to answer the question, “What is the gospel?” I want to communicate that the gospel is God’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.

    Clean Hands or Clean Heart?

    What does it mean to be defiled? The Pharisees had one definition. Jesus had a different definition. In this lesson, we will examine 1) the meaning, 2) the manner, and 3) the menace of defilement. Each hearer will be able to explain that defilement originates in the heart, not from some external source. The aim of this lesson is to communicate that Christianity teaches personal responsibility.

    Obey the Lord

    In this lesson, we will discuss the command to obey the Lord. We will look at 1) What the command means, 2) Who is responsible to follow it, and 3) Why we must obey it. Each hearer should be impressed with the absolute necessity of obeying the Lord. I hope to communicate with each person what obedience means.

    “A Beautiful Life”

    In this lesson we will study the song “A Beautiful Life.” This song emphasizes that the true beauty of the Christian is in 1) serving others 2) pure living, 3) recognizing our mortality. Each hearer should understand that life is fleeting and we need to make the most of every day to do good to others.

  • What is the Church?

    In this lesson, we will answer the question, What is the Church? We must understand God’s original design in the creation. When we understand this, we will understand what the church is in relationship to God’s great plan to restore unity between God and man, and between man and man. Each member should understand God’s desire for unity in the church as the restoration of His purposes in creation.

  • New Jerusalem

    New Jerusalem – The Bride, The Lamb’s Wife

    In Revelation 21, we see how the righteous live forever in the city of New Jerusalem. We see 1) The Coming of the City, 2) The Composition of the City, 3) The Consecration of the City. Each hearer should understand that the New Jerusalem is a spiritual city that will be eternally inhabited by the righteous. It is my aim to impress upon each person that this city is the people of God.

  • Blessings of Salvation

    In this lesson, we will look at four blessings of salvation 1) Remission of Sin, 2) Refreshing from the Lord, 3) Restoration of Fellowship, 4) Rejoicing in Heaven. The objective of this lesson is for the hearer to better understand and appreciate the spiritual blessings we have in Christ. In understanding our blessings, we should be motivated to live responsibly.

  • Repent and Turn to God

    To obey the command to repent we must 1) Believe God’s Analysis of Our Condition, 2) Change Our Mind and Attitude, 3) Change our Behavior. Each member should be able to explain what this command means and how to perform it. My aim in this lesson is to encourage in the heart of each person the desire to live a life of repentance.

    Great Mothers of the Bible

    In this lesson we will look at three great mothers of the Bible 1) Jochebed them mother of Moses, 2) Hannah the mother of Samuel, and 3) Mary, the mother of Jesus. Each hearer will be able to discuss these mothers’ spiritual qualities. It was not worldly values that made these mothers great, but spiritual.

    Jesus and the Resurrection

    Jesus and the Resurrection show that 1) He is my God. 2) He is my Savior. 3) He is my All! Each person should be able to state why Jesus and the Resurrection is relevant. The aim of this lesson is to teach the deity of Jesus and emphasize his sovereignty over our lives.

  • Lessons from the Life of Adam and Eve

    In this study we will observe some lessons from the life of Adam and Eve. 1) God is our creator. 2) God's commands are for our benefit. 3) Satan is our enemy. 4) Sin separates man from God. Each listener should be able to apply these lessons from the account of Adam and Eve in Genesis 1-3. The aim of this lesson is to review the first three chapters of the Bible specifically as applies to man and to learn not to repeat the mistakes that were made by Adam and Eve.

    In this lesson we will examine the Extreme Jesus. When we look at the Extreme Jesus, we find 1) Extreme measure to deal with sin, 2) Extreme dedication required of his disciples, 3) Extreme righteousness, and 4) Extreme love. The objective is that each individual Christian would get to know the extreme Jesus in their life.
