What is the opposite of grace? Not justice, but unrighteous vengeance. Grace is God's favor through Jesus (John 1:14-17). It is better to show grace than get even.

In the letter to Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11), we see Jesus' 1) Description, 2) Knowledge, 3) Prophecy, 4) Command. Each person should know Jesus cares for the church.
Without grace, I would be hopelessly trapped in a mindset of constantly demanding retribution for failure.
Daniel 5 on God's punishments: the folly of feasting, fouling holy things, false idols, and forgetting history. Each person should learn these lessons and avoid them.
Knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 1:5-8) is vital: 1) Ignorance Destroys, 2) Information Builds a Foundation, 3) Ideas Inform Behavior. Each person should grow in knowledge.
As we study the Old Testament, let us never forget that it is all about Jesus!
All preaching is about Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:2) in three ways: teaching the lost to be saved, teaching the saved to stay faithful, and doing good works to glorify God.
Don't miss God's grace (Hebrews 12:15). By it we are 1) Enriched, 2) Everlastingly Loved, 3) Indwelled by the Spirit, 4) Given Eternal Life. Each person should accept it.
Sometimes we hear people say, “If I had lived during the time of Christ, I would have believed!”
How sin develops: Cain's carnal quest (1 John 3:11-15) had a sinful 1) Direction, 2) Decision, 3) Destination. Each person should see how sin leads to condemnation.
Let’s not be like the one-talent man who went and buried his talent in the ground.
