In this lesson, we will study 2 Samuel 6 and the account of David’s bringing the ark to Jerusalem. The hearer will consider the errors and successes of David in an effort to understand how God desires us to regard His holy things. It is my aim to teach some lessons regarding holiness in worship.
Over the Christmas holidays I received a Grumpy Cat desk calendar. Grumpy Cat is a popular internet figure celebrated for her frowny face and angry eyes. She made her […]
We should all desire understanding from God and to understand the Bible. Understanding comes from 1) Effort, 2) Knowledge, 2) Unity. The hearer should understand how we should desire understanding. The aim of this lesson is to set forth ways for desiring understanding.
A personal relationship with God means 1) Prayer, 2) Practice, 3) Position. Each person should draw upon this section of Psalm 119 to bolster their personal relationship with God. May each person learn to draw near to God.
Our congregation will be encouraged by this effort! Hebrews 3:13 states, “but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Next Sunday, brother Phil Sanders will be here to preach on the topic, “Jesus, Our Hope!” This is a wonderful theme that will bring us great spiritual edification and nourishment.
To take ownership of my family’s faithfulness I must 1) Comprehend the contrast between the spiritual and the carnal. 2) Consistently cultivate the spiritual and cast out the carnal. 3) Care that my children copy my behavior. 4) Consider that it is never too late to change. In this lesson, I hope that each person will understand the responsibility that God has given parents to take ownership of their family. It is the aim of this lesson and series to keep our families faithful to the Lord.
It is time to look forward and go forward! This new year has some great opportunities in store for us to work and serve.

Each listener should be able to understand the story, repeat it, and explain it. I hope to to familiarize everyone with this story and teach its lessons so as not to fall into similar circumstances as the rich man.

In this lesson, we will look at some attitudes and actions that are involved in practicing forgiveness. Each person should be able to understand the proper attitude to have toward someone who is need of and seeks forgiveness. The aim of this lesson is that each soberly contemplates their need for forgiveness from God in relation to another's need for forgiveness from them.
Man's unique position in relationship to God affords him special status regarding his life; neither beast nor other men may so take man's life except they forfeit their own for their crime. This is not to say that the one who deserves such punishment cannot be punished by other men. Certainly, if God commanded men to kill the one who murders, then men may so carry out God's command without offense to God.
In this sermon, we will note that being a Christian requires a person to change his life. How do we do this? We must recognize: 1) Everyone Has Problems, 2) Our Past Does Not Define Us, 3) Winning Requires Effort, and 4) Transformation Takes Time. The hearer should be motivated to make changes in his or her life and to help others make changes in their lives as needed.
