We need to hear the gospel, but our hearing must be 1) Without Prejudice, 2) With a View toward Obedience, 3) For Self-Correction, 4) To Evangelize Others. When children have no father, they will lack some understanding regarding righteousness and justice. We need faithful fathers!
To be a child of God is to have the blessing of: 1) Forgiveness, 2) Family 3) A Father 4) Felicity. Each should be encouraged in knowing that they are children of God. I hope to use fatherhood as an illustration of what it means to be a child of God.
I wonder what would happen if Jesus gave a “State of the Church” speech to us today? We really do not have to wonder. He gave such a speech in Revelation 2-3 when he evaluated the seven churches of Asia.
