What is Sin?
What is sin? Sin is 1) lawlessness, 2) violation of conscience, 3) leaving undone what we should do. Each hearer should be able to state what sin is. This lesson seeks to answer a top religious question with Bible teaching.

In this lesson we will examine three practical ways in which we can make it easy to forbear and forgive one another. The objective of this lesson is to seek to practice forbearance and forgiveness of one another in our lives.
We must keep the unity of the Spirit by 1) Speaking the Same Things 2) Not have division, 3) Have the same Judgment. Each listener should be able to explain how to have unity. Each Christian should be committed to maintaining unity by doing these things.
You do not have to be a great evangelist; you just have to try. Even a clumsy effort to share the gospel beats silence. Jesus rejects the lukewarm (Revelation 3:16).
In the story of Jonah we see 1) A Command, 2) A Contradiction, 3) A Confrontation, 4) A Correction. Each hearer should learn that when we ignore God’s commands, we forsake our own mercy.
Is love worth the risk? Rejecting the possibility of having love in our life is just another “rubber room,” a place where we will be protected from emotional pain, but at the loss of real relationships, which everyone actually desires most in this world. When we refuse to love others, we also fall into a profound self-absorption, a selfishness from which we will never recover. But to learn to love, we must risk suffering, and to risk suffering, we need a world that is not safe, sanitized, and preventative of all harm.
Why did God make us free? Freedom is necessary to love (Galatians 5:13). A computer can be programmed to say "I love you," but real love requires a free choice.
Why is there suffering? God made us free to choose, and suffering results from sin (Genesis 3:14-19). A world without consequences would be a "rubber room," not freedom.
What is reality? God is real. People are real. Relationships are real. Each listener will know the biblical answer to the question, “What is Reality?” We will focus our thoughts on what is real as opposed to what is not.
God is a God of justice (Deuteronomy 32:4), yet injustice happens in this fallen world (Ecclesiastes 3:16). True justice is found only through faith in Jesus.
The Brothers Karamazov contrasts "all things are lawful" with "every man is a debtor to all." Paul teaches that we owe everyone a Christlike life (Philippians 2:4).
We need to hear the gospel, but our hearing must be 1) Without Prejudice, 2) With a View toward Obedience, 3) For Self-Correction, 4) To Evangelize Others. Each hearer should be able to understand what the Bible says about hearing the gospel correctly. Each person should be hearing as the Bible teaches us to hear.
Jesus broke down the prejudice of His day (John 4:9), and God confronted racism in the church in Acts 10. Racism opposes the unity God desires (Ephesians 2:11-22).
