God’s word gives us direction 1) For Our Soul, 2) For The Problem of Sin, 3) For Our Attitudes. Each hearer will study and learn more about the word of God from Psalm 119. We should let God’s word direct our lives.
A miracle is an obvious work of God that is outside the normal laws of nature. God is able to do miracles because He is powerful. One of God’s names in the Bible is El Shaddai which means God Almighty.
When we follow God’s law, God will shield us from many unpleasant things in life including: 1) The Words and Actions of the Wicked, 2) Insecurity for the Future, 3) The Plans of the Wicked, and we may have proper reverence and fear of God. We will study Psalm 119:113-120 and understand that God’s law shields us from many things and helps us to be secure.
God’s word guides us through all of life’s circumstances: 1) Affliction, 2) Worship, 3) Decisions, 4) Persecution, and 5) The Future. Each hearer should know that they can trust in God’s word to guide them.
On New Year’s Eve I will 1) Forget the things that are behind, 2) Reach forward to the things that are ahead, and 3) Press toward the goal. Each listener should be resolved to leave things in the past that need to stay in the past, remember what is important for the future, and seek to finish their race.
Hope is important because it gives us something 1) To Talk About, 2) To Work Toward, 3) To Hang Onto. Each should understand the importance of hope in the life of the Christian.
Without grace, I would be hopelessly trapped in a mindset of constantly demanding retribution for failure.
