This is highly figurative language and as such we should be careful only to interpret it in light of clear biblical teaching. Verses 1 and 11 are clear that this is speaking regarding the king of Tyre. In the absence of another clear Biblical teaching regarding Satan's fall, it would be a very unwise course of action fraught with questionable hermeneutics to declare this scripture as a description of the fall of Satan.

In this lesson, we will look at two kinds of hearts, 1) The hard heart, and 2) The Soft heart. Each should understand the two hearts, their relationship to God and his word, and which kind everyone should desire to have. To encourage everyone to have the kind of heart that God wants us to have.
In this lesson we will study the story of the rich man and Lazarus and notice: 1) The characters, 2) The circumstances, 3) The cries of the rich man, 4) The conclusions of the story. Each listener should be able to understand the story, repeat it, and explain it. I hope to to familiarize everyone with this story and teach its lessons so as not to fall into similar circumstances as the rich man.
Lack of patience can also cause us to use our tongues incorrectly saying things that we should not say. Sometimes a person may feel like he just must say something. He feels awkward when there is silence among others.
The kingdom of God is composed of people not expected by men because 1) Men judge based on appearances only, 2) Men do not believe in God’s mercy and grace, 3) Men Make Cheap Sacrifices thinking that will be pleasing to God. Each listener should understand that it is God who sets the standard for who enters His kingdom, not us. I hope that we would seek to understand what God’s standard for the kingdom is so that we can conform to it being a people that doesn’t judge based on appearances, that show true mercy and grace to others, and that understand that we must make real sacrifices.
What will be the fate of the rest? “But as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” (Ezekiel 11:21-22).
In this lesson, we will look at what it means to be a friend of God. One is God's friend when he 1) Loves God with all his heart, soul, and mind, 2) Does what God wants him to do simply because God has asked us to do it, 3) Tells others about what a great friend God is. Each hearer should be able to understand what it takes to be a friend of God. I want everyone to be motivated to make God their friend.

We can’t save ourselves because 1) just one sin separates us from God, 2) sin distorts our efforts to do good, 3) the good works we do are not sufficient to save us. The listener should understand that only by trusting in Christ Jesus can we be saved.
The Bible doesn’t give us a complete picture of moment by moment transactions after we die. However, the Bible does give us some snapshots of what happens after death. There are several passages in the Bible that give us some fleeting glances as to what transpires. Let’s look at a few of them.
In this lesson we learn that near the cross we find 1) Healing, 2) Heaven, and 3) Help. As an objective of this lesson, the listener will be able to understand scripturally the song “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross.”
On New Year’s Eve I will 1) Forget the things that are behind, 2) Reach forward to the things that are ahead, and 3) Press toward the goal. In this lesson, we will discuss the conversion of the three thousand in Acts chapter 2 and the essential ingredients to effective evangelism. This includes 1) The Presence of the Holy Spirit, 2) People of the Dispersion, 3) Prophets of the Old Testament, 4) Preachers of the Gospel, 5) Penitent of Heart, 6) Persistent in Faithfulness. The hearer should be familiar with the events in Acts 2 and the principles of evangelism as related to this conversion account. The aim of this lesson is to help the hearer understand more about the principles of evangelism taught in Acts 2.
To the church of Philadelphia we have a message of 1) Opportunity, 2) Conquering, 3) Help in the time of need, and 4) Steadfastness. We should all be familiar with this letter and gain great encouragement from knowing that God continues to instruct and warn even when we are faithful.
Fear comes from 1) Lack of Knowledge, 2) Lack of Love, and 3) Lack of Faith. That we may be able to overcome our fears and live in love, peace, and fellowship with one another.
