In this lesson we will look at four character lessons from the life of Moses. He 1) Shunned Sin, 2) Practiced Patience, 3) Erred in Excuses, and 4) Manifested Meekness. Each should have more knowledge of Moses and his character. This lesson seeks to help all understand more about Moses character and the example he sets for us today.
In this lesson, we will set forth three lessons from Matthew’s account of the birth of Christ: 1) God keeps his promises, 2) Obedience leads to salvation, 3) Jesus is the Messiah. Each hearer should understand these lessons from Christ’s birth. God’s will cannot be thwarted when men do their part in the process of salvation.
How do missionaries work? The word “missionary” means “a person sent by a church into an area to carry on evangelism or other activities, as educational or hospital work” (dictionary.com). The word stems from a Latin word meaning “one who is sent.” In the New Testament, we can identify several missionaries. Philip seems to be the first of these.
The Bible does not reveal that angels are either male or female in an anatomical sense. Jesus suggests that angels are without such gender in Matthew 22:30 when he says: “For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.” If angels do not marry one another, then that seems to imply that they are without gender.
