What does it mean to be defiled? The Pharisees had one definition. Jesus had a different definition. In this lesson, we will examine 1) the meaning, 2) the manner, and 3) the menace of defilement. Each hearer will be able to explain that defilement originates in the heart, not from some external source. The aim of this lesson is to communicate that Christianity teaches personal responsibility.
In this lesson we will look at Lot’s escape from Sodom and Gomorrah: 1) A Revelation 2) A Negotiation, 3) A Confrontation, 4) A Destruction. That each may understand God’s perspective when it comes to our need to escape sin.
“Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land” (Matthew 27:45). The Greek word for “darkness” in this verse is skotos. There is nothing especially significant about the word indicating the quality of darkness. The word may be used to talk about a pitch black darkness such as in Tartarus in Jude 1:13, or “outer darkness” (Matthew 22:13), or it may be used to describe a shadow-like darkness (Matthew 4:16; Luke 1:79).

In this lesson, we will note three lessons from the life of Samson. Each should become more familiar with Samson's story and be reminded of the truths found in his life. In this sermon, I want to increase awareness of Old Testament events and learn from these stories (Rom.15:4).
Honorable work 1) Prevents Laziness, 2) Provides for the Needs of Others, 3) Protects from Accusation, 4) Produces Good Works. Each hearer should be able to explain to others why it is an honorable thing to work.
In this lesson, we will study Revelation chapter fourteen and look at the destiny of saint and sinner. Saints have their destiny with Jesus Christ. Sinners have their destiny with the wrath of God. Each hearer will be motivated to side with Jesus so that he will not suffer the wrath of God.
In this lesson, we will study of the blood of Christ and that it speaks about 1) The Church, 2) Salvation, and 3) Responsibility. Each hearer should understand the significance of the blood of Christ. I hope to help people think more about the blood of Christ during the Lord’s Supper.
Sometimes we overgeneralize and jump to conclusions. This is a bad practice.
A miracle is an obvious work of God that is outside the normal laws of nature. God is able to do miracles because He is powerful. One of God’s names in the Bible is El Shaddai which means God Almighty.
