A Word Fitly Spoken
The goal is to teach the things which the obedient tongue will utter before God – namely, it will be a tongue that 1) speaks truth, 2) utters praise, 3) reflects good judgment, and 4) edifies and to help all realize the importance of a word fitly spoken.

What is a Christian?
A Christian is a person who 1) Believes Christ, 2) Obeys Christ, 3) Is Faithful to Christ. Each person should understand that it isn’t enough to claim to be a Christian, one must live that way.

Think on Things that are Noble
To think on things that are noble is to think on things that are 1) Generous, 2) Respectable, 3) Reverent. Each person should know how to think “noble” thoughts. To help each person control their thoughts as a Christian.

Authentic Christianity Changes People
Authentic Christianity changes those who 1) Listen, 2) Repent, 3) Obey, 4) Stay Faithful. Each person will understand how Paul changed as a result of becoming a Christian.

The Blessings in Answered Prayer – Psalm 30
Answered prayer brings the blessing of 1) Healing 2) Joy 3) Humility 4) Meaning, 5) Worship. Each person will learn the many ways God blesses us in answering prayer.

How Beautiful Heaven Must Be!
Heaven is beautiful because 1) The Pure Live There, 2) God’s Light is There, 3) The River of Life is There, 4) Rest for the Weary is There. Each listener should be able to explain how and why heaven is beautiful.

The Unchanging Gospel
To have authentic Christianity, we must not change the gospel. Each person will understand that while some want to change the gospel, if we want to please God, we must not change the gospel.

Make Disciples
Jesus’ directive to make disciples entails 1) A Command, 2) An Expectation, 3) A Purpose. Each hearer should understand what Jesus wants from us as we seek to make disciples. Making disciples is not an easy or quick task, but a lifetime commitment.

Think on Things that are True
To have Christian Joy in our lives we must think on things that are true! Each person should be able to use these lessons to modify their thinking so as to produce more joy in his/her life and to engender Christian cognitive abilities in each person’s heart.

A Mind to Work
Having a mind to work is having a mind that 1) Recognizes a Great Demand, 2) Desires to work regardless of personal interests, and 3) Is Dedicated and will work even under adverse circumstances. That each would resolve to do more work for the Lord in this New Year and have "a mind to work." To encourage all to have a mind to work for this New Year.

The Foundations of Authentic Christianity
The foundations of authentic Christianity: 1) Not from Men, 2) Through Jesus Christ, 3) Rescues from this present evil age. Each hearer should understand that authentic Christianity comes from Jesus Christ as the standard. I want to impress upon each person the need for Christ to be the standard, not self.

“The Old Rugged Cross”
At the old rugged cross 1) the dearest and best was slain for a world of lost sinners, 2) some were repelled, but others were attracted, 3) a Savior calls the saved to faithfulness and eternal life. That we would cherish that old rugged cross for what our Savior did for us there.

Putting on Christ means we adopt His 1) Character, 2) Words, 3) Life. Each person will understand that to put on Christ means changing to be like Christ. To help everyone understand that putting on Christ is a full-time endeavor that encompasses everything the Christian does.
