We will conclude that we need to identify with Jesus in the invitation. Each listener should understand that God/Jesus is the only one that we truly need.

    When we follow God’s law, God will shield us from many unpleasant things in life including: 1) The Words and Actions of the Wicked, 2) Insecurity for the Future, 3) The Plans of the Wicked, and we may have proper reverence and fear of God. We will study Psalm 119:113-120 and understand that God’s law shields us from many things and helps us to be secure.

What does it mean to wrestle with God, and how do we win?: 1) We wrestle with God when we seek to impose our will on others and God. 2) We wrestle with God and He with us through life’s troubles. 3) We can win our wrestling match with God by humbling ourselves and trusting in Him. Wresting with God is a good thing if we learn to humble ourselves and trust in God.

    God’s word provides for us in the time of our afflictions. It teaches us that 1) God is good; 2) Afflictions Refine the Righteous, 3) The wicked will not comfort us. Each hearer should understand that in times of distress we need to go to God and his word for comfort, peace, and help.
