Our Gospel Meeting – The Triumph of Truth
We have a gospel meeting scheduled for October 3rd-6th. Brother Mike Bonner of San Angelo, Texas will be preaching for us. He has preached for us several years ago and was very well received by the congregation and the area. The theme for this meeting will be The Triumph of Truth. This is a great topic for our meeting. Truth is something that we must all respect and acknowledge. Without truth, this world is a very sad place to live. With truth we have wonderful freedom in Christ (John 8:32).
Brother Bonner will be presenting six lessons to us in this meeting: 1) The Meaning of Truth, 2) The Fundamentals of Truth, 3) The Authenticity of Truth, 4) Enlarge our Jurisdiction FOR Truth, 4) The Truth that Justifies, 5) The Eternal Promises of Truth. Each of these lessons promises to instruct us in God’s holy word and to give us the information that we need to get to heaven. The world in which we live does not honor the truth about God, the Bible, Jesus Christ, human identity, marriage, rearing children, love, and many other topics. So many people have turned to lies instead of upholding the truth. We need these lessons today so that we may not be deceived into believing error.
We have some fliers that are available for you to take with you and distribute to your friends, family, and neighbors. Please make a real effort to pass out some of these fliers. We will also be advertising our gospel meeting on the Internet. Please use that as an opportunity to tell others about this meeting. You are the ones to whom other will listen because they know you as a Christian and trust you as their friend. Let’s invite as many as we can to hear these lessons about truth.
