This lesson will discuss how God defines the relationship of people to their labor. Each hearer should understand that labor is good, but it does not define us.
In the Old Testament, God makes provision for His people to rest. The Jews did not work on the Sabbath day; they were required by God to rest. Exodus 20:8-10 states, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy…. In it you shall do no work….”
Do we hold back from teaching the gospel to those who don’t look, smell, act, or live like us because they are “dirty”? God didn’t accept Peter’s reticence, and He won’t accept ours either because He wants everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4).
In this lesson, we will look at what Jesus did not do that most people would have done given the same circumstances. The listener should understand that Jesus was extraordinary in His behavior. We will conclude that Jesus was divine.
We praise the Maker of our mothers because He made our mothers to be 1) Kind, 2) Compassionate, and 3) Caring. Each listener should be able to understand why God made mothers and the importance of their role within the home.

In this lesson, we will examine David’s practice of grace to Saul’s house. David understood that: 1) Grace was a Desire, 2) Grace was Proactive, 3) Grace Restores, 4) Grace Gives. Each person should learn what it means to be gracious to others and resolve to practice more grace in our lives.
Hope is important because it gives us something 1) To Talk About, 2) To Work Toward, 3) To Hang Onto. Each should understand the importance of hope in the life of the Christian.
