SUBJECT: Faithfulness
TITLE: The ABCs of Being a Faithful Christian
PROPOSITION: To set forth the fundamental things we must do to be faithful, namely 1) Attend the services; 2) study the Bible; 3) imitate the Christ.
AIM: It is my aim to impress upon each person the church’s need for him or her to be faithful by doing these three things!
INTRODUCTION:
1. Read: Galatians 5:22-23
2. About the Text:
1) One of the fruit of the Spirit is faithfulness.
2) Faithfulness means staying true to your commitments.
3) “Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2).
4) “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much” (Luke 16:10).
5) Here are some simply things in which we may be faithful.

DISCUSSION: To be faithful, we need to . . .
I. ATTEND THE SERVICES.
1. We need regular spiritual food and that’s why we have several services.
2. “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Pet.2:2).
3. We need the fellowship. By attending you exhort me! (Hebrews 10:25).
4. We need to worship God – John 4:24.
II. STUDY THE BIBLE.
1. Psalm 1. Mind is not idle!
2. By studying we… (2 Timothy 2:15).
3. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
4. Bereans “more noble” (Acts 17:11).
III. IMITATE THE CHRIST.
1. Walk in his steps (1 Peter 2:21).
2. Live for Christ (Philippians 1:21).
3. Christ is the Christian’s life (Colossians 3:4).
4. Do not conformed to the world! (Romans 12:1).
CONCLUSION:
1. It’s as easy as ABC, but harder than making no progress at all!
