Teachers’ Appreciation Luncheon
This coming Tuesday, August 14th, we will have a teachers’ appreciation luncheon. The purpose of this luncheon is to let our teachers know that the New Boston Church of Christ loves them and cares about them. It is also to let all the New Boston Independent School District know that we appreciate the good work that they do in educating students in New Boston. This is also an opportunity for us to get to know the new teachers that are moving into the community and renew acquaintance with the teachers who have served here for years. Finally, this luncheon is a way for us to reach out to these teachers with the message of the gospel. We will have free Bibles and tracts available for them to take with them should they desire.
While no one is required to attend this luncheon, I hope that you will come to this event and support it. This is an opportunity for you to engage in the Lord’s work of gratitude for others, serving others, and reaching out with the message of the gospel. Of course, there are other ways to do the Lord’s work as well, and if you are doing that, then that is wonderful. However, you may just want to use this event for these purposes also. I know that the Lord would be happy if you would.
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
