This coming Friday (October 2nd, 2015) our gospel meeting/marriage seminar begins! Brother Mike Price will be here Thursday evening in preparation for this event. He and I will spend Friday visiting and getting to know some of our people in the community. Friday evening, he will speak to us on the topic of Love: The Foundation that Never Fails. After the evening lesson, we will adjourn to the multipurpose room where we will have dessert and get to know brother Price better. Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, we will meet in the multipurpose room for the seminar portion of our weekend. Brother Price will conduct a class type discussion where he will address questions related to the topic of the cycle of disaffection. At 11:00 AM he will open the seminar up to discussion, and participants will be able to ask whatever questions they desire. After this time, we will have a light luncheon together. Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, brother Mike will talk about how the word of God resolves conflicts in his lesson: “Relationships Matter.” On Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, he will conduct our Bible class hour on the question, “What Am I, A Taker or a Giver?,” and during the worship hour at 10:25, he will preach on Forgiveness. We will have a congregational potluck after the morning worship at noon. Then at 6:00 PM on Sunday, he will close out our meeting/seminar with the lesson, “In Christ Alone: Only Christ Can Bring Enduring Hope to Marriage.” I hope that you will make your plans to be with us during this great event.
