knowing that we can change, and getting rid of the obstacles to change, we may still fear change.
change requires us to acknowledge the wrongs of the past, and make God the foundation of our change.
To add agape love to our lives we must 1) Know and Believe Jesus, 2) Understand the Proper Place of Self, 3) See Others as God Sees Them. The listener should be able to understand how all the Christian Graces work together to promote agape love through Christ Jesus. This lesson is designed to show how the Christian Graces culminate in love and relate to Jesus and His life.
The love of Christ controls me 1) To treat people with dignity and respect, 2) To be a living sacrifice by humbling myself, and 3) To overcome the ambition of selfish desires. The hearer will learn how the love of Christ controls the life of the Christian to act in a respectful, humble, and selfless way.
Jesus washed feet to teach us to serve one another (John 13:3-15). When we "wash feet," we count others more significant than ourselves (Philippians 2:3-4).
In this lesson we will see that to engage in evangelism is 1) Loving God, 2) Loving Your Neighbor, and 3) Loving Yourself as God Loves You. Each person should understand that to love our friends and family as God wants us to love them, we must engage in personal evangelism.
In this lesson, we will examine David’s practice of grace to Saul’s house. David understood that: 1) Grace was a Desire, 2) Grace was Proactive, 3) Grace Restores, 4) Grace Gives. Each person should learn what it means to be gracious to others and resolve to practice more grace in our lives.
How intelligent are we really? Not very, if we are willing to sacrifice relationships for our own pride. Lack of love is the culprit.
Narcissism is false self-love, an unhealthy focus of self upon self. Godly self-love is based on God's love (Matthew 22:39). The first step to recovery is admitting it.
Let us be diligent to love God and to love our neighbor to reap the abundant life (John 10:10).
Love one another as God loves us (1 Corinthians 13:4-8): 1) Good Intentions, 2) How Relationships Develop, 3) Where We Went Wrong. Each person should love his neighbor.
Are we paying attention to the lost around us? Or are we ignoring the problem.
