In this lesson we want to focus upon some uses of the Old Covenant, namely: 1) It is for our learning, 2) It provides wisdom, 3) It warns us regarding sin, 4) It helps us understand the New Covenant. Each person should understand why we study the Old Covenant. The aim is to help all understand that as Christians, we must study the Old Covenant.
We will discuss the ark of the covenant, its 1) Form, 2) Function, and 3) Fame. The hearer should understand what the ark was, what it was used for, and how it has significance today. I hope that everyone will appreciate God’s desire to be with His people in holiness.
In this lesson we want to discuss the danger of ignorance. We will answer the questions: 1) What is Ignorance and its Causes, 2) What are the Consequences of Ignorance, and 3) How can we Change. The hearer should learn that spiritual ignorance is costly and seek to avoid it. This lesson will inform concerning dangers to our spirituality and life.
Jesus died on the cross to leave an example of 1) service, 2) sacrifice, and 3) love. Each hearer can explain how Jesus’ death on the cross left us an example.
In this lesson, we will look at what Jesus did not do that most people would have done given the same circumstances. The listener should understand that Jesus was extraordinary in His behavior. We will conclude that Jesus was divine.
Jesus died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin because 1) Justice Demands Payment 2) Old Testament Sacrifices were Insufficient, 3) A Perfect Sacrifice Was Needed. This lesson explains why we need a perfect sacrifice and why Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.
Man's unique position in relationship to God affords him special status regarding his life; neither beast nor other men may so take man's life except they forfeit their own for their crime. This is not to say that the one who deserves such punishment cannot be punished by other men. Certainly, if God commanded men to kill the one who murders, then men may so carry out God's command without offense to God.
Jesus is our true brother because He completely understands what we go through in this life.
To add agape love to our lives we must 1) Know and Believe Jesus, 2) Understand the Proper Place of Self, 3) See Others as God Sees Them. The listener should be able to understand how all the Christian Graces work together to promote agape love through Christ Jesus. This lesson is designed to show how the Christian Graces culminate in love and relate to Jesus and His life.
