It is God who Justifies
Defensiveness is a form of self-justification. Christians should own their mistakes, forgive, and move on, trusting that it is God who justifies.

Summer youth activities are wrapping up with the Oak Grove gospel meeting and our Wednesday series. Mark October 2-4 for a marriage seminar with brother Price.
Christians seek a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28), not an earthly one. Do we invest our love of fatherland in our eternal home (Hebrews 13:14)?
Our Summer Youth Series was a great success with fellowship, food, and worship. We also share plans for upcoming events at the New Boston Church of Christ.
Our kids learned how to lead in the church at leadership camp this year. We give thanks to God and to our elders for sending them (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Summer is flying by with camp, family visits, and capable preachers filling in. We mourn a sister's passing, but not as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13-14).
What does the Bible say about the book of life? From Exodus 32 to Revelation 3:5, God promises not to blot out the names of those who overcome.
Graduates need to know that God loves you, you can be your own worst enemy, and you must not let sin control you. Let God's Spirit lead you (Romans 8:1).

We thank God for two more baptisms and for men who step up to serve. Let's encourage one another and build each other up this week (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Alienation comes from selfishness (James 1:14-15). When we identify with Christ and serve others, we affirm their worth. So, go visit someone today.
Eddie Cloer's visit reminds us of Jesus' command to go into all the world (Mark 16:15). Our Internet work is reaching visitors from many countries with the gospel.
Our gospel meeting was a beautiful success because of great congregational involvement and brotherly love (Romans 12:10), and two souls were baptized.
An opportunity is a time to seek success, and our gospel meeting is one. Pray, invite, keep a positive attitude, and remember we do this to love God and others.
The Bible teaches there are things to be ashamed of, like sin and idolatry. When we obey God and accept His forgiveness through Jesus, we have no reason for shame.
Our gospel meeting on "Great Songs of the Church" is three weeks away. Will you pray, volunteer, give, and invite someone? Your labor is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58).
