Spreading the Gospel Message

Is the glass half-empty or is it half-full? I believe that the glass is half-full and that this is the attitude that God wants the faithful Christian to have. We have so many in our community, some of whom are members of the church and are not coming; some of whom are not members but want to be members somewhere. It is our responsibility to reach out to all of these with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We could, on the one hand consider the glass half empty in their regard, but wouldn’t you rather consider it half-full? I sure would!

It is not hard to invite someone to our worship services. Ask them where they go. Let them know they would be welcome if they wanted to come over and visit with us. Give them a tract or two to encourage their interest. We have many tracts in our tract racks to choose from. I encourage everyone to use these to help evangelize our community. I am sure that the eldership would love to have the problem of having too many Bible studies and not enough people to lead the study.

Jesus said, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” (John 4:35). “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:38). Let us teach and pray and then teach and pray some more. There are souls who are ready to be added to the church (Acts 2:48). What are you doing to help them? Let’s resolve to try and talk to one person this week about the church of Christ.

God bless you, and I love you.
