Back to School

The kids have been back in school now for a few weeks. We are all settling into the fall schedule. Cooler weather has come our way to some extent, and now it is time to get ready for our fall and winter activities! Our gospel meeting will be coming up soon. It is October 7-10 with brother Marvin Weir. Please put this date on your calendar and make your plans to be with us for this wonderful time of fellowship and Bible study. After our gospel meeting, we will have a Trunk-or-Treat activity with the New Boston Chamber of Commerce. This will take place on Saturday, October 27th at 5:00 PM (unless the chamber changes the date like they did last year due to weather). In November, we will have our yearly “Stew Supper.” This is always fun, and then in December, we have our Holiday Dinner.
Back to school means that our kids are studying and learning so that they can be successful in life. Back to school for the church means that we have work to do to continue to preach and teach the gospel to others so that they (and we) can be successful in eternal life! Let’s remember the Lord in all that we do and not forsake His ways as we get back into our fall schedules. Let’s remember that we are to love Him with all of our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). Let’s remember to bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Let’s remember to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, and then everything that we need will be provided to us by Him (Matthew 6:33).
God bless you, and I love you.
