In this lesson we will look at the bible doctrine of inspiration: the evidence for inspiration; the nature of inspiration; the function of inspiration; and the scope of inspiration; some misunderstandings of inspiration. The objective of this lesson is to help everyone understand what the Bible doctrine of inspiration is and implies and to help all respect God's authority.
God has spoken in a way we can understand because 1) God knows how to communicate, 2) The Bible is written in a language we can understand, and 3) Jesus gives us his example so that we may follow. Each person should know that he/she can understand and obey the Bible.
In this lesson, we will answer the question, What is the Church? We must understand God’s original design in the creation. When we understand this, we will understand what the church is in relationship to God’s great plan to restore unity between God and man, and between man and man. Each member should understand God’s desire for unity in the church as the restoration of His purposes in creation.
We should all desire understanding from God and to understand the Bible. Understanding comes from 1) Effort, 2) Knowledge, 2) Unity. The hearer should understand how we should desire understanding. The aim of this lesson is to set forth ways for desiring understanding.
Faithful fathers build families and churches by being 1) Faithful to the Lord, 2) Faithful to their Wives, 3) Faithful to their Children. Each hearer will know how faithful fathers build faithful families and churches.
In this lesson we will study the conversion of the Ethiopian Nobleman: 1) God Wants People, 2) God Uses Preachers, 3) God’s Proposal is Jesus, 4) God’s Plan Includes Baptism, 5) God’s Plan Produces Joy. In this lesson, we will do an expository study of Acts 8:26-40 and make application.
All the scriptures are profitable for me. However, we don’t appeal to the Old Testament to determine forms of worship, the organization of the church, or the plan of salvation. However, the Old Testament can supply us information on correct attitudes, wisdom, teach us concerning faith, and provide a great deal of background information regarding the New Testament.
The least in the kingdom of heaven would be greater than John in that they have greater access to knowledge regarding God's divine will. Remember that the prophets of the Old Covenant did not have the complete will of God revealed to them.
Paul refers to God's plan to save man through Jesus. The term "mystery" was often used in the New Testament to refer to the message of the gospel as it has been revealed through God's Son, Jesus. Romans 16:25, 26 point this out.
In Revelation 10-11 we see preparations made for the coming of the King and His kingdom. These preparations include 1) The Completion of the Mystery of God, 2) The Committing of God’s Message to the Prophets/Apostles, 3) The Coming of the Two Witnesses, 4) The Coronation of the Messiah. The hearer should be able to explain that the events of Revelation 10-11 are preparatory for the coronation of the Messiah. I hope that the listener will have a better understanding of Revelation 10-11.
In this lesson we will answer the question, “What is Evangelism” in a fourfold way. Evangelism is 1) Prayer, 2) Opportunities, 3) Work, 4) Teaching. I want each hearer to understand what all is involved in evangelism. The aim of this sermon is to educate and encourage each Christian to be evangelistic.
In this lesson, we will study why Jesus died on the cross. To understand that Jesus brings unity to mankind in the church, we must understand God’s original design in the creation. When we understand this, we will understand that Jesus died on the cross to restore unity between God and man, and between man and man. Each member should understand that Jesus died on the cross to bring unity in the church as the restoration of His purposes in creation.
In this lesson we will examine the office of the deacon, its 1) History, 2) Responsibilities, 3) Qualifications, and 4) Rewards. The hearer should be able to locate and discuss the New Testament passages dealing with the office of the deacon. Considering the appointment of new deacons, I hope to be able to focus thought upon this office and the one being considered for appointment.

In this lesson we will examine how we got the Bible. We will briefly look at the canonization, the transmission, and the translation of the text. The student should be able to briefly discuss the concepts of canonization, transmission and translation. The aim of this lesson is to help all understand that the Bible has been accurately preserved throughout the ages for our benefit and that we have what they had.
