In this lesson, we will answer the question, What is the Church? We must understand God’s original design in the creation. When we understand this, we will understand what the church is in relationship to God’s great plan to restore unity between God and man, and between man and man. Each member should understand God’s desire for unity in the church as the restoration of His purposes in creation.
In this lesson about Bible Commandments, we will look at the commandment, “Worship God!” To worship God we must 1) Understand Worship, 2) Acknowledge God as the Object of Worship 3) Put Away Idols that Compete with Worshipping God. Each hearer should know what the command “Worship God” means.
The Christian who marries a person who is morally sound and does not pose a burden to his or her Christian beliefs or practices doesn’t' fall under Paul's prohibition regarding being unequally yoked. Neither does the Christian businessman who is involved with unbelievers in the practice of a legitimate trade necessarily involve being unequally yoked. It is only when one's involvement with an unbeliever would necessarily involve the Christian in sin that such a relationship would be wrong.
We find meaning in the Lord’s Supper when we 1) Remember Jesus, 2) Connect with Jesus, 3) Thank Jesus. Each listener will understand that there is objective significance in observing the Lord’s Supper.
In this lesson, we will look at some of Paul’s methods of evangelism. Each listener should be able to learn from Paul’s example of evangelism. I hope that we will follow Paul’s example and be more evangelistic.
In this lesson, we will study why Jesus died on the cross. To understand that Jesus brings unity to mankind in the church, we must understand God’s original design in the creation. When we understand this, we will understand that Jesus died on the cross to restore unity between God and man, and between man and man. In this lesson we will look at the Asian church of Thyatira. We will note that Jesus knows: 1) The state of the church, 2) Those who are unfaithful, 3) Those who are faithful. Each should be able to discuss the situation in the church at Thyatira. The aim of this lesson is that each would be more familiar with the lessons from this church.
