    In this lesson, we will look at five great memorials in the Bible. These memorials help us to remember the great things that God has done. Each should be thankful that God has left us reminders of what He has done for us.

    In this lesson, we will look at the song, “I Need Thee Every Hour” and study how we need God 1) for peace, 2) for help with temptation, 3) in the good times and the bad. We will conclude that we need to identify with Jesus in the invitation. Each listener should understand that God/Jesus is the only one that we truly need.

    “Can He Depend on You?”

    Can Jesus depend upon us as his servants? Can he depend upon us to 1) Help the needy? 2) Live for Him? 3) Teach the Gospel? Each should know their responsibilities as Christians to help the poor, live in a Christian way, and teach others the gospel. In this lesson, I hope that each would understand that while God does not depend upon us in an existential sense, he does depend upon us, by his choice, to do what he commands us to do.

    In this lesson, we will study of the blood of Christ and that it speaks about 1) The Church, 2) Salvation, and 3) Responsibility. Each hearer should understand the significance of the blood of Christ. I hope to help people think more about the blood of Christ during the Lord’s Supper.

    Cleaning Up for the New Year

    In this lesson, we will look to the example of good king Hezekiah on how to clean up for our New Year. At the beginning of this new year we must 1) Clean Up Our Temple, 2) Clean Up Our Worship, 3) Clean Up Our Participation, 4) Clean Up Our Giving. Each hearer should resolve to make a new start in the new year so as to be dedicated to serving the Lord.

    God is Our Guarantee for Salvation

    In this lesson, we will study Psalm 119:121-128 and look at God’s guarantee for his servants. God is a guarantee for his servants when we 1) Oppose Pride, 2) Seek Salvation, 3) Pray for God to Act, 4) Love God’s Commandments. The hearer should learn that our participation is required to have God as our guarantee.

    God Speaks to Our Friends

    In this lesson, we will look at the fact that God speaks to our friends and some things that God has to say to our friends. Each should be able to tell their friends some basic things God has said to them. I want to help make our members more confident about evangelizing their friends.

    What Does it Mean to be a Friend?

    In this lesson, we will look at some Bible principles on friendship: 1) We were made for friendship, 2) Friendship is founded on the good, 3) Friends are Independent, 4) Friendship is Generous. To encourage us to be better friends by understanding the Bible’s teaching.

    In Psalm 24:1 we have the basic principle that God owns everything and everybody: “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.” The apostle Paul quotes this Psalm in 1 Corinthians 10:26, 28 further emphasizing the truth.

    The Rich Man and Lazarus and Life After Death

    In this lesson we will study the story of the rich man and Lazarus and notice: 1) The characters, 2) The circumstances, 3) The cries of the rich man, 4) The conclusions of the story. Each listener should be able to understand the story, repeat it, and explain it. I hope to to familiarize everyone with this story and teach its lessons so as not to fall into similar circumstances as the rich man.

  • Having Enough Rope

    “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Peter uses a metaphor that is not familiar to us. “Gird up your loins” refers to the act of pulling up one’s tunic, tying a belt around it, and preparing to walk.
