Lifting Up Jesus

This past Sunday was a fantastic day in the Lord’s kingdom. It was a wonderful privilege to be able to baptize Tabitha Finley into Christ Sunday morning, and it was a joy to be able to witness the baptism of McKenzie Thomas Sunday evening. We are so proud of both of these young ladies for giving their lives to our Lord Jesus and putting their faith and trust in Him. Please say a prayer for them this week as they begin their walk of faith in Christ Jesus.

The holidays are behind us. I trust that everyone had a wonderful time with friends and family. It was enjoyable to have our family come and visit us over the holidays and to be able to spend some time with them. I also thank you for being so hospitable and kind to them while they were here visiting with us. We had some that were out visiting others for the holidays, but it was very pleasant to see all of our regulars back with us this past Sunday.

The elders and I have been talking about having a short gospel meeting very soon. The purpose of this meeting is to “introduce the new preacher and his family to the community.” I would like to select a weekend that is reasonably suitable for everyone to be in attendance for the length of the meeting. I was also thinking it would be a good idea to have it on a weekend (Friday through Sunday). I am currently receiving ideas for this as I begin to plan the effort. Please call the office, email, or text me with your thoughts.

Let’s end on this note: “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word” (Acts 8:4). Be sure to lift up Jesus in your life this week. I love you, and God bless you.
