Everything Beautiful in Its Time

rr crossing highway 8 east of corley texas portraitWe have really had some beautiful weather the past several days.  Charlie and I joined a photography club over the weekend and got outside to take some photos.  This club is a Facebook group that promotes photography by having a different theme for each week of the year.  It is called “52 Week Project.”  This week, the theme is “blue,” and so Charlie and I went south to the lake to see what we could see this past Saturday.  Even though it is winter, we still found some wonderful scenes to photograph.

Have you ever wondered why you appreciate beauty?  There is beauty in everything that is around us, and it was all placed there by God who is Himself beautiful.  You see, beauty is not simply in the eye of the beholder.  There is something to it that is the same for everyone, and things are beautiful because they partake, in some way, of the ultimate beauty, God Himself.  Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

Something else that is beautiful is when we see our fellow Christians fulfilling their purpose in life to love God and to love our neighbor (Matthew 22:37-39).  It was wonderful to have our youth travel to Mt. Pleasant for the Bible Bowl last Monday, and it was wonderful that they got 1st place . . . again!  What was more wonderful was that we had a wonderful group of kids and adults sharing time together as a Christian family and loving one another, and that is really what it is all about.  Remember to love the people that are around you this week.  God bless you, and I love you.
